Marshall 702 Hydraulics

The hydraulic system in your tractor must be in top condition for the reliable operation and high performance of your Marshall 702 tractor. You rely on the hydraulic system in your Marshall tractor working every time you work your tractor with an implement or pull a trailer with it. Over time the hydraulic system can become less effective, and it is important to understand at which point in the hydraulic system is causing the problem. It is just a blocked filter, which can be easily replaced? Or is it a worn hydraulic pump which needs to be replaced? Both extremes can be easily rectified. We would always recommend that you change the filters as your first course of action if you observe a hydraulic problem in your tractor. Don’t forget that there is the suction filter, as well as the high pressure element, so it is important to change both of these filters. We also recommend that you measure the pressure that the hydraulic pump is giving out. This should be at least 2600 psi. You can easily measure the pressure generated by the hydraulic pump, by putting a pressure gauge into the auxiliary port of your tractor and getting a reading.
