The electrical components in your cab, from lights to alternators and starter motors, don’t just make the tractor work, they keep Your Marshall 604 tractor in a safe condition, so that it is less likely to catch fire due to poor electrical connections. These tractors are 40 years old now, so the original wiring is getting quite old, and it is easy for old wiring to catch fire, which can often cause serious damage ot your tractor. Not only will looking after the wiring, electrical components and lighting system ensure that your tractor starts and you can see what you are doing, it also keeps you safe and will save any big insurance claims.
The lights on the Marshall 604 are readily available and can be replaced by replacement bulbs, sealed beam units or even by complete light units. We can offer sealed beam units for the front headlights, situated within the grille on the front of the Marshall 604 tractor. For the back of the tractor we have either complete rear light units, made by the Original OEM (original equipment manufacturer), PMG, or we can also offer just the replacement lenses if these have been damaged in use but the electricals of the rear light units are still ok. We also offer replacement bulbs for these rear light units, located on the mudguards. As for the plastic inserts that these light units go into on the rear mudguards; give us a call as we can offer these too!

We can provide the gearbox isolator switches and the rubber cover for the gearbox isolator switches, which are key components for the safe starting of the tractor. These gearbox isolator switches prevent the tractor from starting when it is in gear, meaning that this is a critical safety mechanism. We hear so many people say that it will be ok to start a tractor while stood at the side of the tractor, but this is never something that we reccommend and we are reminded of the dangers of this every day when we see a neighbour who lost a leg as a young lad by starting that tractor while stood at the side of his tractor. The tractor must have been in gear, and with no gearbox isolator switch Frank lost his leg which has affected his whole life – a critical piece of tractor safety right there!
