Gaskets are constructed from a traditional head gasket material, comprising a three-layer composite with non-asbestos outer facings bonded to a steel core. These outer facings adequately meet the demands of the cylinder head. The gaskets also feature eyelet reinforcement around the cylinder bore for added durability.
This traditional gasket type is often favoured for aftermarket supply due to its soft facing, which is more accommodating and well-suited for older engine applications. It eliminates the need for extra sealants, unlike earlier steel or copper and the newer Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) gasket types.
