The crankshaft requires high fatigue strength and wear resistance as it circulates engine oil under pressure to its many moving components, converting linear to rotational motion. Thankfully despite wear over time due to dirt ingress, the crankshaft can be ground to accommodate undersized crankshaft bearings, and we are able to offer underside crankshaft bearings in 0.010” (ten thou) increments, with some sizes also available in 0.005” (five thousands of an inch) increments – search below for the available sizes).
