With the change of the seasons, mudguards and seals can help protect more than just your feet – they are also vital to keep mud from spraying up into your equipment! These Marshall 604 tractors are nearly 40 years old and therefore we should forgive them if the cab starts to rust away, which is usually especially evident around the top of the mudguards – especially on the Quiet=-cab Leyland 604 models. Mudguards can be easily bashed, bent and scraped, or they could rust away meaning that they just need some TLC to get back to their former prime again. The mudguards on both the Quiet cab Marshall tractors and the Sekura can Marshall tractors are easily replaced. The Sekura cab was originally fitted with 2-piece mudguards where the lower section that holds the light unit is a separate piece to the top of the mudguard. Later they were replaced with a one piece mudguard, which was less prone to rusting away at this joint. Either of these mudguards can be fitted on the Marshall (or Leyland) Sekura cab, so if you do want a cheaper option and you are not so worried about originality, then you can fit the one piece mudguards on your early tractor and paint the lower part black.
